It’s that time of the year! The leaves are changing color, the weather is cooling down, and seasons are changing quicker than we can keep up! But what’s great about this time of the year is that there’s so much going on. From hayrides and pumpkin patches to Halloween parties and corn mazes, there’s something for everyone!
But where do you begin?
Time and time again, we find ourselves at the end of the week with a burning desire to get out of the house and have some fun. If you’re like most people, you’ve probably been searching for things to do this weekend in Apopka, but haven’t the slightest clue about where to begin.
Well, search no more! We’ve compiled a list of things for you and your loved ones to do this weekend, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and keep reading!
You know we had to start things off with a Halloween event! What’s better than getting into the spooky spirit with your friends and family?
Apopka’s Halloween in the Park is an annual event that takes place at Kit Land Nelson Park. There will be plenty of games, prizes, food, and fun for the whole family! And don’t forget to dress up in your best costume – there will be a contest for best overall, cutest, funniest, and more!
When: October 28th from 9am-12pm Where: Kit Land Nelson Park
Cost: Free admission
Now, who doesn’t love a good corn maze? If you’re looking for something a little more low-key this weekend, then head on over to Scott’s Maze Adventures in Zellwood! They have a variety of different mazes to choose from, as well as plenty of other activities like pumpkin painting and hayrides.
This year’s theme is pirates so make sure to come dressed in your best pirate gear!
When: This is an ongoing event all the way until Dec. 11th from various times throughout the day!
Where: Long and Scott Farms
Cost: $13 for adults, $11 for kids ages 3-12, and free for kids 2 and under.
Ok, ok… but what if you’re with your date and you’re in the mood for something a little more… grown up? (No offense to corn mazes, of course).
If that’s the case, then head on over to Apopka Saturday Sounds – Groove Infusion! This is a live music event that will feature local talent as they provide smooth tunes all night long. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase.
So whether you’re looking to dance the night away or just sit back and relax, this is the event for you!

Ever wanted to see what the future of fashion looks like? Well, this weekend is your chance!
PROJECT mōd: Fashion Gala is an event that showcases local designers and their innovative creations. This year’s theme is “The Art of Fashion” so you can expect to see some truly unique pieces on the runway!
When: October 29th from 5pm-8pm Where: Remnant Christian Center Cost: Tickets start at $35

Man, it’s quite a lot of festivals happening this weekend right? Well, we’ve got another one for you!
The Word of Life Apopka is hosting its 2022 Fall Fest and it’s sure to be a blast! There will be food, games, candy, inflatables, prizes, and so much more! This is a family-friendly event so make sure to bring the whole crew.
This event is undeniably one of my favorites due to the staggering amount of activities they have going on! And it’s all free – can’t beat that!

If you and your partner are looking for more of a romantic weekend activity, then this one’s for you!
The Apopka Pop-Up Picnic in the Park is a self-guided picnic event that takes place in Kelly Park. You’ll receive a basket full of goodies like snacks, drinks, and games to enjoy while you relax in one of the most beautiful parks in Central Florida.
DNB digital date nights are a series of activities for you and your partner to do together. You need a device that has internet access, like a phone or computer. Often times, we get so busy with everyday life that we forget to connect with our loved ones.
DNB digital date nights are a way for couples to connect and remember why they fell in love. They also give couples a chance to learn more about each other. These date nights happen through technology, such as on the computer or phone.
